Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts

A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his first title for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.

The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.

The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in specific - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with former coach his previous coach.

Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Moutet.

This marks the player's initial title following the Italian tournament and first on a hard court after that period of that year.

The win also signifies he has secured 21 championships at twenty-one different tournaments.

"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my children together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.

"This championship is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."

Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.

The player's retrieving strategy and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had led commentators to doubt if his capacity to compete at the elite level was over.

But the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to approach the net and compete assertively, supported by an enhanced serving game.

Medvedev recovered from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.

Both players exchanged service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first professional victory, took control to push for a third set.

Moutet rescued 4 early-game break points in a tight third set before the champion won the break to that score to serve for the match.

Appropriately, the winner secured victory with a rally at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
